Secret Stuff

This area is reserved for those items that probably won't be released.  The reasons for their non-release are varied:  Sometimes, other mixes were used.  Other times, there may be a slight legality issue involving some aspect of the production.  In any event, we think it's a shame these songs won't be released, so we invite you to enjoy them while you can.  They may be gone soon!

For Gary
  • Didn't Matter That
  • Whatever's Written In Your Heart
  • Samantha Cohen
Fresh off her stint on American Idol, Samantha had PME produce three songs for her. As sometimes happens, they were initially loved by Samantha, then she changed her mind. We haven't heard from her since, but we're still waiting to hear her other efforts.
  • Samantha Cohen - Coming Around
  • Samantha Cohen - Didn't Matter That (Hip-Hop Mix)
  • Samantha Cohen - Didn't Matter That (Street Mix)
  • Samantha Cohen - Never Going Back
  • Kreg Viesselman
Shortly after recording an album at PME, Kreg did this cover version of Tony Carey's Fine Fine Day, backed up by Gary Dunn's vocals. We had initially wanted to release it as a single, but Kreg's schedule precluded putting it on an album, and we thought it best not to send it out as an orphan.
  • Kreg Viesselman - Fine Fine Day
  • The Trip Toys
These two Trip Toys songs were originally  produced with a drum machine.  After the original producer left, the band was talked into having a live drummer re-record the tracks, recording over the original drum machine tracks in the process.  Although the live drummer tracks appear on the album, the original vision was the very tight, specific groove of a drum machine.  These MP3 files are from the original master mixes.
  • The Trip Toys - My Child
  • The Trip Toys - The One You Used to Know
  • Sherrie Scott
While recording an album at PME, Sherrie was talked into doing a cover of an old Jack Green song called Murder. It starts out light, but wait 'till you get to the end!
  • Sherrie Scott - Murder
  • 15mg
Craig Patterson has been doing remixes for 15mg. The band's parent label may have shelved them, but they're better than that! To prove it, we have samples!
  • 15mg - Already Lost You
  • 15mg - Break the Skin
  • 15mg - I Disown Ya
  • 15mg - New Day
  • 15mg - Pepper
  • Urban Myth
This tune was recorded for a contest on The Howard Stern radio show in the Spring of 2000.  It deals with the ridiculousness of FCC rules, and features a number of audio clips from Howard's show.  What Urban Myth didn't know was that Howard does not allow the use of his show's recordings.  Even Howard's good friend Kid Rock couldn't get permission!  Thus, Urban Myth couldn't have won the contest.  A pity, because the tune that ended up winning was pretty lame.  Download it now, because Howard's lawyers may be on us pretty quick! Many people have asked us who that is singing backgrounds. Well, it's the lilting voice of the ubiquitous cult failure Mark Lincoln! Fortunately, that's effectively offset by the quirky speak-rap voice of Craig Patterson on lead vocals.
  • Urban Myth - F'D'FCC
  • Garth Hudson
Live piano solo for The Weight, recorded by PME at a private party.
